Cosmic Wonder
Founded in 1997 by Japanese contemporary artist “AAWAA”, Cosmic Wonder is a conceptual project comprising various modes of expression, including clothing, artwork, publishing, and performance. The “Center for Cosmic Wonder”, located in Tokyo, functions as a site for activities and presentations. In 2016 Cosmic Wonder moved its studio to a traditional house and workshop in Miyama, a remote village in the mountains north of Kyoto. Whether through clothing, photography, 3-D media, or painting, AAWAA evokes a spiritual space, informed by his environment, and his personal experiences. Cosmic Wonder is made in Japan.
